I'm Back, Baby!

Wow - it has been forever since I have posted anything!  Maybe that's because I've been a LITTLE busy this year!  Since my last posting the majority of a school year has passed, several holidays have come and gone (of which projects from said holidays will be posted shortly!) and best of all - my hubby and I have had another baby boy!  Hence, I am at home on maternity leave, therefore have a little extra time (while our 4 year old is at preschool) to get on here and update my blog!  Check out my updated blog pic, to the left, of me with my beautiful boys!

OK, so I am going to be backtracking on the next few posts to show pics of projects I did over these past few holidays.  I'll probably be going out of order as well, since I don't have all my pics readily handy at this moment!  SO, we'll start with Christmas!  This past Christmas I joined in my first Secret Sister Christmas swap on Two Peas.  These are a few pics of the goodies I created and sent to my partner.  I had sooo much fun doing this project and can't wait to do it again next year!

I recently completed another Christmas project that had been a long time in the making.  Not that it was a difficult project (it was super easy peasy!), I just never got around to it until now! For the past few years I have been saving the photo greeting cards we get from our friends and loved ones at Christmas and have just had them stashed away in a box or a drawer somewhere.  So after seeing the idea somewhere (probably on Pinterest - lol!) I decided to make a cutesy little book to put them in and that I can add additional cards to in the years to come.  So I took some chipboard I had and traced and cut out two bracket covers.  I covered them, inside and out, with my FAVE paper from My Mind's Eye, embellished the front and inside covers and pulled it all together with a couple of rings bought from our local office supply store.  SO easy and now I can set it out at Christmas and we and our guests can flip through it and see how everyone has changed over the years!  Here's a few pics of this project:

So these are just a couple of projects I've done over the past few months.  I have plenty more to post about, so be sure to come back in the next few days to check out some of my other goodies!

Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 128

I'm so excited to be entering the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for the first time!  I've always followed it and oohed and ahhed over the entries, but could never get my act together to make a submission.  But here it is - I finally got myself to do it!  I used cardstock and embellishments from one of the Key Ingredients kits.  The stamp, sentiment and ink are from A Muse Studio.  Hope everyone enjoys my first entry:)

Summer Project: Complete!

I am so excited and proud of myself:  I finally got my "big" crafty project of the summer complete!  I scraplifted this idea from a post on the My Mind's Eye blog from several months ago.   As soon as I saw it I knew I had to try this out and create a similar work of art for my office at work.  The only thing I did differently was I mounted the canvases to a foam board and framed the entire thing, whereas the one on the MME blog the canvases were hung directly to the wall.  I knew I would not be able to get all those canvases mounted to the wall in my office, therefore the frame!  I found a super-cheap open-backed frame at our local Hobby Lobby, painted and faux finished it and ta-da!  Anyways, I'm super proud of myself because this is probably the most challenging piece I've done yet.  I'm very pleased with how it turned out!  Hope you like it as much as I do!

Mojo Monday Week 198

Today I'm posting my entry for this week's Mojo Monday Week 198 sketch.  I am using, of course, all A Muse Studio products!  I recently became an A Muse Studio Creative Consultant, so of course I want to show off all the incredible products they have to offer!  I started with kraft cardstock as my base, then layered several colors of A Muse Studio cardstock:  Bermuda, buttercup, sugar, and sage.  I inked all the edges and stamped the sentiment in French Roast and inked the image in Grass.  The stamped image and sentiment is from the Avian Notes stamp set and the border on the die cut is from the Vintage Labels stamp set.  The die cut label is also from A Muse Studio and coordinates with the Vintage Labels stamp set.  I love all of the A Muse Products and hope you will too!  Stop by my webstore to take a look at the catalog (and maybe do a little shopping!):

A Muse, A Muse, A Muse!

I just can't get enough of my new A Muse products!  I am having fun creating new projects with all my new stuff - makes me so happy:)  Still working on getting my first workshop together - hopefully to be held within this next month.  In the meantime, here is another creation.  I did this card for a card swap I belong to. This month our theme was "Sorry for your Loss".  So here you go:  Cardstock:  White, Fern and Grass;  Ink: Fern; White and glitter embossing powders; stamps:  Sentiment from Essential Sentiments; Flowers from Beautiful Botanicals and Beautiful Botanicals 2; and butterfly from Just Because; pearls; ribbon is from my own stash.  I inked the two flowers in fern first, then embossed the flower, butterfly and sentiment on top, then embellished.  Great thing is you can put any sentiment on this to make it for any occassion!  Enjoy:)

As always, you can view our entire catalog as well as purchase our products online at:
