Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge 128

I'm so excited to be entering the Sweet Sunday Sketch Challenge for the first time!  I've always followed it and oohed and ahhed over the entries, but could never get my act together to make a submission.  But here it is - I finally got myself to do it!  I used cardstock and embellishments from one of the Key Ingredients kits.  The stamp, sentiment and ink are from A Muse Studio.  Hope everyone enjoys my first entry:)

Summer Project: Complete!

I am so excited and proud of myself:  I finally got my "big" crafty project of the summer complete!  I scraplifted this idea from a post on the My Mind's Eye blog from several months ago.   As soon as I saw it I knew I had to try this out and create a similar work of art for my office at work.  The only thing I did differently was I mounted the canvases to a foam board and framed the entire thing, whereas the one on the MME blog the canvases were hung directly to the wall.  I knew I would not be able to get all those canvases mounted to the wall in my office, therefore the frame!  I found a super-cheap open-backed frame at our local Hobby Lobby, painted and faux finished it and ta-da!  Anyways, I'm super proud of myself because this is probably the most challenging piece I've done yet.  I'm very pleased with how it turned out!  Hope you like it as much as I do!

Mojo Monday Week 198

Today I'm posting my entry for this week's Mojo Monday Week 198 sketch.  I am using, of course, all A Muse Studio products!  I recently became an A Muse Studio Creative Consultant, so of course I want to show off all the incredible products they have to offer!  I started with kraft cardstock as my base, then layered several colors of A Muse Studio cardstock:  Bermuda, buttercup, sugar, and sage.  I inked all the edges and stamped the sentiment in French Roast and inked the image in Grass.  The stamped image and sentiment is from the Avian Notes stamp set and the border on the die cut is from the Vintage Labels stamp set.  The die cut label is also from A Muse Studio and coordinates with the Vintage Labels stamp set.  I love all of the A Muse Products and hope you will too!  Stop by my webstore to take a look at the catalog (and maybe do a little shopping!):

A Muse, A Muse, A Muse!

I just can't get enough of my new A Muse products!  I am having fun creating new projects with all my new stuff - makes me so happy:)  Still working on getting my first workshop together - hopefully to be held within this next month.  In the meantime, here is another creation.  I did this card for a card swap I belong to. This month our theme was "Sorry for your Loss".  So here you go:  Cardstock:  White, Fern and Grass;  Ink: Fern; White and glitter embossing powders; stamps:  Sentiment from Essential Sentiments; Flowers from Beautiful Botanicals and Beautiful Botanicals 2; and butterfly from Just Because; pearls; ribbon is from my own stash.  I inked the two flowers in fern first, then embossed the flower, butterfly and sentiment on top, then embellished.  Great thing is you can put any sentiment on this to make it for any occassion!  Enjoy:)

As always, you can view our entire catalog as well as purchase our products online at:

More A Muse Yumminess!

I'm so glad I had time to play some more with my new kit from A Muse Studio!  I used their adorable gingham cardstock to make an altered project with clothespins.  I also made a cutesy birthday card with their solid cardstock and sentiment from the Essential Sentiments stamp set.  They have so many cute stamps.  I placed my first consultant order today, so even more cutesy stamps on the way for more projects I have in mind!  I've started working on developing my launch party/workshop.  I have a tentative date of July 21st at 6:30 pm.  I'll start spreading the word this next week to my friends and family - soooo hoping to get a great turnout and some interest in some hostesses!  I'm also hoping to get at least one hostess club going to meet once a month - I think this would be so fun and a great way to play with some of the many ideas I've got playing out in my head:)  You can check out these great products through my webstore at:

A Muse Studio!!

I am SO excited to have joined A Muse Studios as an Independent Creative Consultant!  This is an exciting new opportunity for me and I just can't wait to share with all my friends!  A Muse Studios is a new home-based company that just started a few months ago.  They carry a full line of stamps, cardstock, ink, embellishments and other tools and accessories you need for scrapbooking, card making and other paper crafts.  A really nice aspect of this company is they carry Copic markers, as well as Nestabilities die cuts!  I just got my starter kit in last week and have had little time to play.  But, nevertheless, I was able to whip up a few cards just to show off some of the stamps and supplies.  I'll definitely have more to come as I have more time to play.  It's summertime for me, so I should have plenty of time to do so:)  I'm hoping to get my first open house/workshop set up for July.  Hoping to get my friends interested in this exciting new endeavor.  Meanwhile, peruse my A Muse website and take a look at the catalog - maybe even place an order:)  Stay tuned for more craftiness!

My First Scrapbook Retreat!

This past weekend I got to experience my first scrapbook retreat!  My good friend, Lora, invited me to tag along with her group to a scrapbook retreat in Rockport.  And let me tell you it was awesome:) I met some great new gals and had so much fun just playing!  It was such a treat to spend two nights away just scrapping away and having lots of "me" time:)  My hubby was so wonderful taking care of our son and holding down the fort the whole time I was gone!

I got to work on so much stuff - I'm proud of myself for being so productive:)  I worked on banners for a Valentine's banner swap I am a part of and I completed all the cards for the TWO montly card swaps I am in - whew!  PLUS I completed four pages for my sons scrapbook!  I've posted several pics of all of these projects.

NOW for the next thing I am SO excited about!  I happily discovered Clickinmoms.com this past week and OMG - I am in LOVE with this site!  I totally became a member right away!  This site has SO much to offer - tutorials of all kinds, workshops you can sign up for, plus networking with so many awesome individuals from moms just like me who love photography as a hobby to moms who are photography pros who own their own businesses and SO much more.  I totally recommend becoming a member of this site - and right now if you sign up and mention I recommended you, you can get a discount on the joining fee (I think it's 10%) with the coupon code FRIEND - so check them out!!!
